Munyamadzi Bush Camp
Located 57km off the Great North Road along the Mpika – Mfuwe road (one of most exciting 4x4 roads in Zambia) is the Munyamadzi Bush Camp. The camp is owned and managed by the Nabwalya Community Resources Board but was set up with the support from Frankfurt Zoological Society in collaboration with the European Union.
The Bush Camp is a reality of the partnership and involvement of the communities in developing tourism. The Camp is located in the Munyamadzi Game Management Area which covers an ecological corridor in the Luangwa Valley. It is bordered by the South Luangwa National Park on the south, the Luangwa National Forest on the west, the Luambe National Park on the East and the North Luangwa National Park on the North. The Luangwa River which runs from the north-east forms the natural eastern boundary. The Munyamadzi corridor has the highest densities and numbers of buffalo, elephants, lions, leopards and impala. The others are Kudu, and Puku in the Luangwa Valley. Munyamadzi is the only GMA in the North Luangwa Ecosystem where tourists can view giraffe.
The Bush Camp provides ethical tourism services
